High-flying Bohs eventually ran out 3-0 winners in a tricky home tie against UCD, who have been on an impressive form themselves, with goals from Dinny Corcoran, Conor Levingston and Danny Grant. Scorer of the second, with a beautifully taken side foot finish, Levingston spoke of his delight at finally breaking his duck for the Gypsies. “Yeah I’m over the moon to get it and hope to make a habit of it now! I’ve been chatting to the gaffer and its definitely something we’ve been working on, getting into the business end of the pitch and making a difference and thankfully it worked tonight.” For large spells of the first half, the Gypsies found themselves without the ball but were clinical when the time arose. Just before the half time break Corcoran slotted home from the penalty spot and the 21 year old spoke of his frustration throughout the opening period. “We knew there would be times tonight we’d be without the ball, UCD are a good footballing side, but I felt like we didn’t get our pressing game going from the front and made things hard for ourselves. And maybe luckily we were one nil up going into the break when we could have been one down, but thankfully James Talbot made a wonder save. "At half-time we regrouped and spoke about our pressing from the front and we came out flying and that’s how we got the two quick goals which almost killed the game off, so delighted with the three points in the end.” The Gorey native who has struck up a wonderful partnership in the heart of the midfield with Keith Buckley was also quick to praise his teammates influence. “I enjoy playing with Bucko, he’s a bit like myself, we work hard first and foremost and a great lad to have beside you, makes you a better player. He’s constantly talking you through the game. He has a lot more experience in the league and has helped those of us in our first season here and yeah it’s going really well so far so long may it continue.” Bohs travel across the city on Tuesday for a huge Dublin Derby with Shamrock Rovers and the immensely talented 21-year-old spoke of his excitement at the facing their fiercest rivals. “They’re the games you want to play in and will be a totally different game to tonight. It’s a huge game, both teams are doing well and will be full of confidence but hopefully we get off to a quick start and play our game and get the win. It won’t be easy but we’ve nothing to fear.”
