Virgin Media Television announces first five live SSE Airtricity Men’s Premier Division fixtures for 2025
- Virgin Media Television announced earlier this week that it has secured exclusive rights for SSE Airtricity Men’s Premier Division
- A bumper weekend of live action will kick off the new season, with two games live across the weekend
Date: 29 January 2025: Virgin Media Television has announced the first five of its live fixtures in the 2025 SSE Airtricity Men’s Premier Division campaign.
This week, VMTV unveiled a four-year landmark broadcast agreement which will see 36 matches shown this year, with a live fixture in each round of the season.
The season will kick off with a bumper opening weekend of live action.
Champions Shelbourne will host Derry City on Friday, 14th February, as Damien Duff’s side face the Candystripes in a rematch of the dramatic final night of the 2024 season. The game will be live on Virgin Media Two.
Two days later, Bohemians will play Shamrock Rovers at the Aviva Stadium, live on Virgin Media Two.
The subsequent live fixtures will see Stephen Kenny and John Caulfield renew acquaintances on the sidelines for Galway United vs St Patrick’s Athletic (Friday, February 21st), a Dublin Derby between Shelbourne and Shamrock Rovers (Friday, February 28th), and a Munster Derby between Waterford United and Cork City (Monday, March 3rd) all live on VMTV.

- Bohemians vs Shamrock Rovers – Sunday, February 16th
- Galway United vs St Patrick’s Athletic – Friday, February 21st

- Waterford vs Cork City – Monday, March 3rd
