St. Patrick's Athletic have announced the signing of Republic of Ireland under-age international Glen McAuley.
The 19-year old was released by Liverpool having played for the club's Under-23 squad and will be in contention to make his Pats debut against Dundalk on Saturday.
McAuley has represented Ireland at Under-19 and Under-17 level having played for schoolboy clubs Crumlin United and St. Joseph's Boys before moving to Anfield.
Speaking to stpatsfc.com, McAuley says he can't wait to play games and start scoring for the Richmond Park club.
McAuley said; "It feels great to be back home and playing for such a big club in Ireland.
"I'm just looking forward to getting started. Hopefully my clearance comes through so I can get on the pitch, start scoring goals and helping the team.
"I think at this moment in my career it would be best for me to be playing men's football — to get back happy playing football again."
