UCD got back to winning ways and in some style thanks to a 6-0 win over 10-man Cobh Ramblers.
The Students got the perfect start as Greg Henry put into his own net in the 25th minute and John Kavanagh was sent off eight minutes before the break to reduce the home side to ten.
The Students took advantage of the extra man in the second 45 minutes as Yoyo Mahdy scored the second in the 56th minute before Liam Kerrigan added to the scoreline 11 minutes later.
Colm Whelan got his first of the match a minute later before Mahdy completed his brace in the 71st minute to wrap three goals in four minutes for the away side. Whelan completed his brace in the final minute of the game to see UCD head up to third spot in the table.
Longford Town 1-1 Drogheda United
A pulsating match at the City Calling Stadium ended all square as Longford Town draw 1-1 with Drogheda United.
Rob Manley got De Town off to the perfect start thanks to his strike within the first five minutes of the match.
Six minutes after the break, Jordan Adeyemo equalised for Drogheda and that's how it remained until the final whistle despite a number of chances for both sides.
Drogheda United end this weekend in second spot, two points behind Bray Wanderers whilst Longford Town stay in fourth, just a point behind Drogheda.
