ROUND-UP | Shelbourne secure opening day victory against Cork City

Shelbourne secured their first three points of the season on their return to the top flight with victory at Turner's Cross against Cork City. 

Ciaran Kilduff scored in the final minutes of the tie, his 100th goal in the SSE Airtricity League, to secure a huge victory on the opening weekend of the 2020 season. 

The Champions Dundalk also sealed victory thanks to Dane Massey's second-half strike against Derry City.

In a even contest, on his 200th appearance for the club, Massey's goal sees the Champions get off to the perfect start at Oriel Park. 

Waterford had new signing Brian Murphy to thank for their 1-0 victory over St. Patrick's Athletic.

Murphy denied the Pats attack on several occasions as Kevin O'Connor's only goal of the game saw Alan Reynolds' side take all three points.

Karl O'Sullivan scored the only goal of the game for Finn Harps as they secured an impressive opening day victory against Sligo Rovers. 

The former Limerick man found the net just after the break to secure the three points for Ollie Horgan's side against their North-West rivals.
