Bohemians cruised into the second round of the Irish Daily Mail FAI Cup with a facile win over First Division strugglers Wexford FC in Ferrycarrig Park.

The Dubliners had far too much class from the get-go and the match was over as contest inside 13 minutes, with JJ Lunney, Dinny Corcoran and Daniel Kelly hitting the back of the net. Keith Ward grabbed their fourth with 26 minutes on the clock and the pattern continued in the second-half, with Corcoran adding his second, Eoghan Stokes also doing the needful and Christian Magerusan completing the rout.

The visitors didn't have to wait long to get off the mark, with Lunney confidently sweeping the ball past Colum Feeney in the fourth minute after being teed up by Kevin Devaney. Dinny Corcoran doubled their advantage four minutes later, finishing through a sea of bodies after a Devaney corner and it was game, set and match moments later when Daniel Kelly got on the end of Derek Pender's cross and finished with aplomb.

In the 27th minute, Keith Ward made it four, expertly arrowing in a free-kick from just outside the area, while Wexford's only threat also came from a set-piece, with Shane Supple denying Dean Walsh from 25 yards. Wexford began the second-half brightly with Danny Doyle in the thick of the action.

First he saw his shot held by Supple, before setting up Dean Walsh, whose effort was well saved by the netminder. Supple was again called into action in the 53rd minute, getting his body in the way of Doyle's effort, with Keith Buckley hooking the ball away to prevent it crossing the line.

However, Bohs were soon back in the ascendancy and Corcoran grabbed his second in the 58th minute, rising highest to head Keith Ward's corner to the net. Substitute Eoghan Stokes got in on the act in the 68th minute turning Daniel Kelly's pass beyond Feeney to make it 6-0.

It was a magnificent seven in the 79th minute, with Christian Magerusan tapping the ball to an empty net after Daniel Kelly's shot was stopped by Feeney.
