Waterford FC got back to winning ways in the SSE Airtricity League First Division with a 2-0 win at home to Wexford FC.
The opening ten minutes was a quiet affair, dominated by a minute of applause in the 5th minute for Derry City captain Ryan McBride who was laid to rest on Thursday.
The Blues took the lead after just ten minutes. Mark O'Sullivan played a one-two with David McDaid before he fired past Doyle for the opening goal.
Lee Duffy was Wexford FC's main threat throughout but he couldn't find a way past Waterford keeper Ian McLoughlin. And the Blues made it 2-0 on 69 minutes and made sure of the points in a game of little clear-cut chances.
Kenny McEvoy did well to get around Wexford defender Andrew O'Connor before crossing for Mark O'Sullivan to head past Wexford keeper Graham Doyle.
