Bohemians reached the 30-point mark with a classy 3-1 victory at local rivals Shelbourne.

Bohemians outclassed their opponents as Danny Grant scored a brilliant hat-trick and James Talbot saved a penalty to keep out Shelbourne.

Keith Long's side took the lead in the 28th minute as Andre Wright slid the pacey winger in behind and he made no mistake to finish.

Shelbourne were given the perfect opportunity to get back into the game in the 67th minute when the home side were awarded a penalty. Georgie Poynton stepped up but Talbot dived to his right to save and keep Bohs ahead.

Five minutes later, Bohemians made them pay for the penalty miss as Danny Grant got his second of the night when he curled home a loose ball.

With just 10 minutes remaining, Grant completed his hat-trick. Once again, it was Wright who found space on the edge of the area and he saw his shot parried but Grant followed up to find the bottom corner.

Shelbourne got one back in the final minute of the game with a fantastic header but it was Bohemians who sealed all three points.
