Shamrock Rovers scored three goals in four minutes as they secured a 5-1 win over Waterford at Tallaght Stadium.
Waterford started the game well but conceded three goals at the end of the first-half and a further two goals in the second-half to Rovers who go eight points clear at the top of the table.
It was Aaron Greene who started the goal spree. Greene received the ball on the edge of the area, turned his defender and smashed the ball home in the near post in the 41st minute.
Two minutes later, Roberto Lopes rose highest to head home Jack Byrne's corner before on the stroke of half-time, Grace headed home another Byrne corner to make it 3-0.
Four minutes after the break, Rovers continued where they left off as Byrne collected the ball at the back-post and fired home.
Graham Burke got in on the act ten minutes later as he slid the ball home after a fantastic run down the left from Neil Farrugia.
In the 67th minute, Waterford got one back as Michael O'Connor produced an excellent turn and finish to score a consolation for the away side.
In the final minute of the game, Rovers had enough time to add a sixth as Byrne burst through the middle of the pitch and he slid the ball through to substitute Dean Williams who scored his first goal of the season.
