Limerick FC and Longford Town played out an entertaining 0-0 draw at the Markets Field.

Both sides had good chances in the opening 45 minutes but it was a much more entertaining contest after the break.

Aaron Dobbs and Adam Evans both had good efforts early on, with Karl O'Sullivan going close for Limerick.

After a cagey opening 45 minutes, it's was much brighter after the break. Again, it was O'Sullivan for Limerick who came closest.

He was first to Sean McSweeney's flick on but he fired into the side netting. Dobbs should have hit the target soon after O'Sullivan's chance but he headed wide from Anto Breslin's cross.

Longford had further chances from Dobbs and Peter Hopkins in the latter stages but had to be content with taking a point away from Limerick.
