Finn Harps defeated Limerick FC 3-2 in a toughly contested game as Ollie Horgan's side won back-to-back league games for the first time this season.

Harps led 3-1 going into the final 10 minutes but Limerick set up a tense finish with a goal on the 86th minute. The Donegal side were reduced to 10 men in added time with Danny Morrissey being shown a straight red for a foul on O'Conor.

The win sees Harps move up to 8th in the table while Limerick stay in 6th. The game began with a frantic opening 10 minutes as Ciaran O'Connor opened the scoring on 8 minutes from close range.

Limerick replied instantly from a via Lee-J Lynch who put one in the net from a free kick. The game wasn't level for too long though as Morrissey tapped home from a pin point cross from McAleer, who turned from provider to goalscorer as he added a third for the home side before half time, with an effort in off the upright.

The second half didn't see as much action as the first half but had an action packed last 10 minutes. Paul O'Conor made things exciting with a goal into the bottom corner on 86 and Limerick pressed for an equaliser to avoid defeat but Gallagher held strong in between the sticks.

Danny Morrissey was sent off in stoppage time for a late tackle on O'Conor as the match ended 3-2.
