Finn Harps took the lead just shy of the 30 minute mark courtesy of Sean Houston, they took the lead into half time but surrendered it moments after the restart with Kevin Devaney striking from distance.
Both sides looks to find a winner late in the second half with Galway hitting the upright on a number of occasions but it all ended 1-1.
