Bohemians continued their fine run of form as they secured a narrow 1-0 win over struggling Drogheda United at United Park.

The Gypsies made it 10 points from the last 12 available as Dan Byrne's header settled a scrappy affair.

Drogheda squandered the best chance of the first-half on 39 minutes as Sean Thornton toe-poked wide with the goal at his mercy though the visitors carried the greater attacking threat after the break.

Bohs forward Jamie Doyle was denied three times in quick succession by Drogheda goalkeeper Stephen McGuinness though it mattered little as Byrne headed home the winner 15 minutes from time.
