Cork City secured their first win in the SSE Airtricity League Premier Division since August 3rd as they defeated Limerick 3-0 at Turner’s Cross on Friday night.
The FAI Cup finalists opened the scoring in the second minute as Jimmy Keohane – who was later voted man of the match - fired Barry McNamee’s pullback into the net via the underside of the bar.
John Caulfield’s side doubled their lead at the beginning of the second half as Kieran Sadlier collected Keohane’s exquisite pass before round the keeper and drilling the ball home from close range.
City completed the scoring in injury time as Aaron Barry headed a corner in at the near post to complete a comfortable evening for the Leesiders.
