Cork City will face Dundalk in the Irish Daily Mail FAI Cup final for the fourth year in a row as the Leesiders eventually saw off the challenge of Bohemians in their semi-final.

With the first match between the sides finishing 1-1 a replay was required and goals from Graham Cummins and Karl Sheppard sealed City’s place at the Aviva at the expense of Bohs who pulled a stunning goal back through Ian Morris.

The SSE Airtricity League runners-up took the lead after half an hour as Cummins’ diving header from Shane Griffin’s in-swinging free kick found the bottom right corner of the net. Just six minutes later, Cork doubled their lead as Sheppard latched onto Cummins’ flick-on before rounding the keeper and tucking the ball home with ease.

Ian Morris set up a nerve wrecking finale as he found the net via the underside of the bar with an incredible strike from 40 plus yards.

City held their nerve and they will now face the Lilywhites at the Aviva Stadium on the fourth of November where they will be looking to win the cup for the third time in a row.
