A trio of goals in an 11th minute spell set Bray Wanderers on their way to a comfortable victory but they would make life difficult for themselves as they allowed Wexford to score early and late in the second half to offer a few nervy moments for Gary Cronin.

Derek Daly steered home the opener as he guided his free kick under the jumping wall and Dylan Barnett doubled the lead as his strike took a large deflection after some wizardy from McGlade in the build-up.

McGlade then got himself on the scoresheet when he dispatched a penalty following a rash tackle on Richie Purdy in the area and Bray - with six changes from the victory over Limerick - should have been home and hosed.

But a brilliant free kick from Ryan Nolan on 48 minutes ruined the prospect of a third clean sheet for Bray and they almost had even bigger worries as Sean Roche made it 3-2 deep into stoppage time but Wexford couldn't muster a dramatic third and Bray deservedly hung on.
