Despite a first-half penalty scare, this was some very smooth sailing for the Seagulls by the seaside.
Bray Wanderers controlled this tie from start to finish and would have scored more than two goals had it not been for some heroics from Jack Brady in the Limerick net.
Bray's attacking quarter of Dylan McGlade, Derek Daly, Dean O'Halloran and Joe Doyle caused Limerick ferocious trouble and Doyle could have had a brace inside the opening five minutes.
He did eventually get off the mark for his new club on the stroke of half time when he used his head to power home O'Halloran's cross. Their lead was doubled shortly after the interval when Paul Keegan blasted into the top corner from 25 yards in stunning fashion.
Brady pulled off superb saves to deny Doyle and Lovic in the second period and Sean Heaney also saw a header rattle the crossbar as Bray finished gameweek two as leaders of the First Division.
