It was an entertaining evening put on by Bray Wanderers and Cabinteely but ultimately it was a frustrating one for the local rivals as they both will feel they might have won it.
The Seagulls took the lead against the run of play after some wizardry from Derek Daly before he put it on a plate for Jake Ellis to tap home his second goal for the club. Cabinteely were slick and produced numerous lightning quick moves that troubled the hosts and they levelled two minutes into the second period.
Co. Wicklow native Keith Dalton whipped in a deep cross from the right and Vilius Labutis was on hand to rifle it home. Cabo continued to probe and Rob Manley - who had a quiet evening by his standards - almost produced a winner on 54 minutes.
Kieran 'Marty' Waters did excellent to not just halt a Killian Cantwell run, but he also won the ball and immediately leapt to his feet to spray a 40-yard pass onto Manley's chest. He took it down and slammed a half-volley goalwards but Sava got enough behind it to keep it out.
Wanderers won a penalty when Dean O'Halloran had too much pace for the Cabo defence and was bundled over. Eoghan O'Shea initially played a good advantage when it broke to McGlade but awarded the spot kick when McGlade failed to score.
And he would fail to score again moments later when McGuinness produced a fine stop and Gannon failed to turn in the rebound. There was very nearly late delight for Gary Cronin's men when a fierce Dylan Barnett cross was deflected onto the roof of his own net by a Cabo defender and from the resulting corner; Hugh Douglas' header clipped the crossbar.
