Second place will take on third this Friday when Dundalk travel to the Carlisle Grounds to face Bray Wanderers.
Despite being in the top three, both sides are some distance off challenging for the title. Runaway leaders Cork City are currently 15 points ahead of Dundalk, with a game in hand.
Bray Wanderers are a further seven points behind, also have played a game more than the Southerners. The Seagulls will be looking to make it three wins from three after beating Derry City and most recently Galway United.
Dundalk have four wins from their last five, with the sole blemish in that run a 3-0 defeat at the hands of Cork City. Their last three games have returned nine points, with 12 goals scored and none conceded.
Stephen Kenny's team will need victory to apply some sort of pressure on the league leaders.
