2. Sligo sign a Brazilian
SSE Airtricity League Premier Division side Sligo Rovers have bolstered their midfield ranks with the signing of Brazilian midfielder Eduardo Pincelli for the 2018 campaign.
The 34-year old has played the majority of his career in Cyprus where he was most recently playing for Cypriot second division side Ethnikos Achna, but has also had spells in Colombia, Sweden, Malaysia and Italy.
Pincelli was recommended to Rovers manager Gerard Lyttle by former player Vinny Faherty who is playing in Cyprus now and Lyttle was delighted to secure the signature.
Lyttle said: "It was just a conversation where he had asked Eduardo would he ever consider a move to Ireland. Vinny said he could be available in the summer and he told Eduardo about the club and life here.
"We watched Eduardo, did research and his technical ability is awesome. This is a big statement for us that we can attract a player of his calibre, he has that mentality where he wants to win."

3. Joey O'Brien signs for Rovers
Former Republic of Ireland international and West Ham defender Joey O'Brien has signed for Shamrock Rovers for the 2018 season.
The 31-year old joins the club having returned to Ireland after a 14-year career in England with Bolton Wanderers, Sheffield Wednesday and West Ham United.
The former international has struggled with injury during his career but has now signed for Shamrock Rovers after 18 months without a club. Having signed for Rovers, O'Brien admits he is 'buzzing'.
O'Brien said: "I'm buzzing to be here. It happened over a short period of time, I made contact with the club and luckily got it over the line. I was moving back home with my family so it was a logical thing, I support Shamrock Rovers.
"Hopefully the way I go about training and off the pitch as well, some of the younger lads can learn from working with me."
4. John O'Flynn joins Finn Harps
SSE Airtricity League First Division side Finn Harps have confirmed the signing of striker John O'Flynn.
O'Flynn was with Limerick last season having helped the Shannonsiders lift the First Division title in 2016 to secure promotion to the Premier Division.

Finn Harps manager Ollie Horgan said: "It's good for us to get a striker of John's quality and experience. He has done it at the highest level in Ireland with Cork City so we're now hoping that he can do a job for us in the First Division."
5. Ogbene set for Brentford move
Limerick FC winger Chiedozie Ogbene looks set for a move to English Championship side Brentford FC.
The Limerick Leader and RTE are reporting the former Cork City winger has impressed the London club during a trial period.
