Limerick FC are into the quarter finals of the Irish Daily Mail FAI Cup after a 1-0 victory against Finn Harps at the Markets Field. Dave O'Connor's second half header proved to be the difference between the sides in what was a poor game. Harps failed to register a single shot on goal and also had Caolan McAleer sent off for a kick on O'Connor after just 23 minutes. Limerick were unable to take advantage of the extra man until they sprung Garbhan Coughlan from the bench. Coughlan had a couple of efforts on goal, before creating the game's only goal. He beat Ciaran Coll and then hung a cross up to the back post for O'Connor to head past Ciaran Gallagher. The Harps keeper made a fine saves from Peter Berki and Stephen Kenny before Limerick took a deserved lead. Coughlan came closest to adding a second for the home side, but was once again denied by Gallagher and Limerick had to settle for a one-goal win.
