Simon Madden has signed up to his fourth different SSE Airtricity League club after joining St Patrick's Athletic.
The experienced full-back previously lined out for Shamrock Rovers, Dundalk and Derry City, but he has accepted a new challenge with The Saints.
Manager Liam Buckley will be delighted at the capture of the 29-year-old, who will be expected to compete with Michael Barker for the right-back spot.
"Towards the end of last season, I got a few phone calls from different managers and from Liam (Buckley). I'd obviously met Liam a couple of times before and I was always interested in the way his teams play," said Madden in an interview with the club's video channel.
"(Liam's style) probably suits my style of play. I like to get forward and that is what Liam was saying, to get up and down (the pitch). Hopefully we have a good season."
Madden becomes the fourth new arrival at Richmond Park following the recruitment of Ryan Brennan, Dean Clarke and Thomas Byrne.
