Sonni Nattestad headed home in the 42nd minute to put Dundalk ahead at the break before Liam Scales produced an incredible piece of skill just the break to level the tie.
Nattestad was sent off shortly after for a reckless challenge but Rovers couldn't find the break-through in the 90 minutes so the Lilywhites lifted the cup after a penalty shoot-out victory. See all of the highlights below.
