Keith Long's troops extended their unbeaten run to five in the league, coming from behind to snatch a draw at home to Derry City in a hard fought encounter at a chilly Dalymount Park.

There was little between the sides, until ex-Gypsie Eoghan Stokes, slotted home a penalty for the visitors. Bohs equalized through James Finnerty just after Boss Long, rang the changes to rescue the situation.

One of those introduced was the pacey Danny Grant, making his first appearance of the season.

Speaking after the game, the talented 19-year old cut a figure of frustration at the outcome.

“It was a tough game, we knew it wasn’t going to be easy against Derry. I suppose its good to remain undefeated but we feel like if the game went on a few more minutes we could have got all three points.

“A lot of the lads are feeling frustrated we just got the draw, it felt like it took us going one nil down to get going. We stepped it up a gear and felt like we bombarded them at the end but a bit disappointed.

"Keith just told me to get on and bring a bit of energy in the game, be direct and get at them when I get the chance and that’s what I tried to do. Maybe the fresh legs helped turn the game in our favour but we’ll take the draw and move onto next week and try get back to winning ways.”

It has been a frustrating start to the season for last season's breakout star, who unfortunately picked up a hamstring strain on the eve of the big kick off, but he is delighted to be back in the mix.

“It wasn’t easy looking from the sidelines, especially when were doing well. But I’m delighted to be back in and get a chance. As everyone has seen, we’ve a good squad so the competition for places is fierce. But I hope to build on tonight now and get as much game time as possible and kick on from here.”
