Fixture updates in the League of Ireland
The League of Ireland can confirm that the SSE Airtricity Men’s First Division fixture between Athlone Town and Wexford, originally scheduled for 7 June at Athlone Town Stadium, will now take place on Monday, 12 August, at 19:45.
There are also fixture updates involving three games in the SSE Airtricity Women's Premier Division and two games in the Avenir Sports All-Island Cup.
The five games will be given new dates due to the impact of the Ireland Women's Under-19s competing in the 2024 UEFA Women's Under-19 European Championships in Lithuania.
The three league games, originally scheduled to take place on July 13th, will have their match details confirmed in due course. However, the game between Cork City and Bohemians will go ahead with a 19:35 kick-off and it will be broadcast live on TG4.
In the Avenir Sports All-Island Cup, two games originally scheduled for the week ending July 21st will now take place on Wednesday, July 24th - both kicking off at 19:45.
