After working tirelessly to repair Turner's Cross following damage caused by Hurricane Ophelia, a crew of workers are getting their just rewards.

The workmen and engineers from Martin O’Callaghan Builders Limited, who removed the collapsed roof of the Derrynane Road stand and fixed up other parts of the ground to make it safe for supporters, have been recognised for their efforts.

On behalf of the Football Association of Ireland, CEO John Delaney invited nine workers from Martin O'Callaghan Builders Limited to the 2018 FIFA World Cup Qualifying Play-Off Second Leg between Republic of Ireland and Denmark.

The crew includes Peter Crowley, Paul Shanahane, Pat Connolly, Stephen McCarthy, Chris O'Callaghan, David Murray, John O'Reilly, John Moloney, and Brendan Desmond.

Niall Fitzgerald, from Horgan Lynch Consulting Engineers, was also involved in the project that enabled the SSE Airtricity League Premier Division game involving Cork City and Derry City to go ahead.
