Derry City have announced the re-signing of midfielder Barry McNamee ahead of the 2019 SSE Airtricity League Premier Division season.
The 26-year old rejoins the Brandywell club after one year at Cork City and links up with former manager Declan Devine.
McNamee has made over 150 appearances for the club where he came through the youth ranks and he joins recent signings Greg Sloggett and Ciaron Harkin at the club.
Manager Declan Devine has praised the signing. “Barry McNamee ticks every box for every manager.
“He is a good person, he is an incredible central midfield player, he has got energy and he has got quality.
"He scores goals, he is a quality, quality player and I think any manager who wouldn’t be interested in signing Barry McNamee would be off their head to be honest.”
