The SSE Airtricity Men’s First Division was the main instigator in the League of Ireland news today as Kerry made a statement signing in Andy Spain from Munster rivals Treaty United.
Treaty United for their part have re-signed Mark Walsh and Canadian midfielder Delana Friesen to add more North American flavour to the Limerick side’s SSE Airtricity Women’s Premier Division campaign in 2024.
Athlone Town are up and running in the signing stakes with their much-admired goalkeeper Enda Minogue tied down for another year and Sports Direct Women’s FAI Cup-winning captain Laurie Ryan is in for another year too.
Preparing for their return to the SSE Airtricity Men’s First Division, Cork City have made the double re-signing of Mailk Dijksteel and Darragh Crowley to add to yesterday’s transfer news.
There wasn’t much movement in the top-flight today though Ed McCarthy has sealed his future in the SSE Airtricity Men’s Premier Division with Galway United after a brilliant spell with the Tribesmen in 2023 to gain promotion.
The big news of course will be tomorrow as the fixtures are revealed for a huge 2024 across the three League of Ireland Division.
