SSE Airtricity League First Division side Galway United have continued their 2019 season preparations with Conor Melody signing a new contract with the club.
The Tribesmen have been busy during the off-season as they announced that Conor Barry has also signed a new deal with the club last week. Manager Alan Murphy has also committed to the club for the next campaign, signing a new contract for the 2019 season.
Melody will now go into his fifth season at Eamonn Deacy Park, a player who made international appearances for the Republic of Ireland U15 & U16 sides.
Manager Murphy praised the signing, telling www.galwayunitedfc.ie; "Conor Melody is and always was an unbelievable talent.
“Injuries obviously have given him slight setbacks, but I see next year as being a huge year for Conor. I see it as a year to make the progress that Conor Barry made in half a season.
“He’s invested in the club, he’s a local lad. He’s a player that’s professional and has all the characteristics that I’m looking for. He’s the first person I thought of when the profile came together, that he fitted it, so I’m really excited about him.”
