SSE Airtricity League side Cobh Ramblers have announced the signing of defender Cian Coleman for the 2017 season.
The 20-year old was previously with Cork City and featured for the U19 side which played in the UEFA Youth League last season against HJK Helsinki and AS Roma.
Coleman also made appearances for the senior team last season and captained the U19 side when they won the Enda McGuill Cup last season.
Cobh manager Stephen Henderson said: "Cian is an excellent addition to the squad. He will bring quality and determination to the team on the pitch and in training sessions.
"His versatility is a bonus but also very important for our small squad. Competition for places is getting stronger and the players know that the lads not starting at the moment are ready and able when to come in.
"We have a number of lads who are unfortunate not to have started games yet but that will change as the season progresses as we fully intend to utilise our full squad over the course of the season.
"Cian signing is another example of our club’s philosophy of identifying and signing the best young talent in Cork.
"We all look forward to working with him and watching him grow whilst helping Ramblers to a successful season."
