It's still very early in the SSE Airtricity League career of Dan Carr, but the flashes that he has displayed have convinced many that he can be an important player for Shamrock Rovers this season.

Amongst those believers is Stephen Bradley, who brought the much-travelled striker to Tallaght Stadium and reckons that a bit of trust can go a long way in helping the frontman.

“There are some CVs you look at and you’d sign them straight away and some you wouldn’t look at. Dan’s is one you wouldn’t look at because of how many clubs he’s had but when you really do your homework and talk to people, everything that came back was, ‘Sign him’. He just hadn’t had the break," said Bradley.

“After five minutes of watching him with us, you wanted him. He’s a really good person. He understands what went wrong previously with his other clubs. As long as you are honest with him, he seems to respond.”
