A look at Wexford ahead of the new season
This will be the first season without 'Youths' attached to their name and also a debut campaign for Hugh Strong.
Having largely coached at underage level in the women's game, this is a big opportunity for Strong to inject new life into the Wexford project.
They still have an experienced group of players, while the arrivals of Abby Tuthill and Millie Daly provide them with good options - especially when attacking on the flanks.
One of the themes of 2024 will undoubtedly be the return of certain players. Della Doherty, Grace Fitzpatrick Ryan and Ellen Molloy are now back from long-term injuries, while Teegan Lynch has re-signed for the club.
Molloy is one of the most talented players in the League and will be chasing a call-up to the Ireland WNT squad. To achieve that she must remind everyone of her playmaking ability that always lifts her Wexford team.
Alongside Molloy, there should be a spotlight focused on Aoibheann Clancy. She was voted as the club’s Player of the Year for 2023 but she can be even better and an international nod will surely be on her mind too.
Firepower should not be in short supply for the Leinster outfit with Rianna Jarrett and Emily Corbet joined by the exciting Ceola Bergin as options in the attacking line. And don’t forget about captain Kylie Murphy, who remains one of the best around.
Wexford have all of the components needed to be in the title mix this year. It will be all about their consistency and clicking as a unit.
