Waterford FC have announced that former Ireland International Kevin Sheedy will become the clubs new manager for the upcoming season.
The Welsh born striker was capped 46 times for Ireland and scored 9 goals.
Since retiring from playing, Sheedy has been assistant manager at Tranmere Rovers (and a short spell as joint-caretaker-manager) and Hartlepool United. He joined Everton’s coaching staff in July 2006, where he coaches the Academy team.
Sheedy will be assisted by former Hartlepool, Luton and Grimsby boss Mike Newell.
