Reports: Vinny Perth leaves as Manager of Dundalk

Vinny Perth is understood to have been removed from his position as Dundalk manager.

The Dubliner took the role after Stephen Kenny’s departure to the Ireland managers job and guided the club to a double trophy win in his first full season in charge of the lilywhites.

Perth was a penalty shoot out away from a historic domestic treble only a few months ago.

The 2020 season started poorly with a defeat against Shamrock Rovers in the pre Covid matches and after the restart the multiple draws and poor performances have left the Louth side in third place.

The 3-0 defeat in Europe last night seemed to be the final straw for the American owners and have removed him from his role.

2019 Soccer Writers Personality of the year Perth will always be well regarded in Dundalk and under his tenure he won 39 of the 63 games along with a League title, EA Sports Cup and a Presidents Cup.
