NIFL Premier League champions Linfield have expressed an interest in Dundalk goalkeeper Gary Rogers.
The 37-year-old has been in superb form for Vinny Perth’s side so far this season as they close on another League of Ireland title with just 13 goals conceded in the league so far.
He also was the hero of their Champions League tie with Riga in July when his penalty saves helped the Louth side to a shoot-out victory at Skonto Stadium.
Linfield, who only missed out on the Europa League group stages due to an away goals defeat against Qarabag, have been on the hunt for a new goalkeeper for much of the year with Rogers’ understudy Aaron McCarey previously on their radar.
However sources close to David Healy’s side have told LeagueofIreland.ie that they have now turned their attention to the Dundalk number one, whose contract at Oriel Park is up at the end of the current campaign.
