Fomer Dundalk player Andy Boyle has joined Scottish Championship side Ross County on loan until the end of the season which would finish out his contract at Preston North End.
Dundalk and Shamrock Rovers were both rumored to be in for the defender.
The Dubliner played on loan at Dundee for the first half of the season.
It might be argued that this is a drop down in standard rather than coming back to Dundalk or Rovers. However, sometimes coming back so soon can be interpreted by many as an admission that his move abroad ended in failure, so I can understand him still trying to make a go of it with the hope of things improving again.Good luck to him.
