Daniel Cleary signs new contract extension with Dundalk

Dundalk FC are delighted to announce that Daniel Cleary has extended his contract at the Club.

The centre-half who joined the Lilywhites ahead of the 2018 campaign has been an integral part of the squad this season and has gone on to make 32 appearances, 25 of which came in the league as we were crowned Champions.

The 22 year-old came to Oriel Park following a spell in England with Liverpool and Birmingham City. He has penned a two year contract extension which will keep him at the Club until the end of the 2021 season.

Speaking to dundalkfc.com after putting pen to paper on the new deal he said: “It’s great to sign and get the deal over the line. I’m buzzing to spend the next three years at this Club, it’s a magnificent Club. I’ve really enjoyed every minute of my first season here.

“I had my first competitive game at the start of this season and the season has gone so quick since then. I’ve really enjoyed my time here, we had a successful year and we have an unbelievable team here so I happy to commit my future to this Club.”
