John Mountney signs new two year deal with Dundalk


Dundalk FC are delighted to announce that John Mountney has signed a two year contract extension with the Club.

The Mayo man is the joint longest serving player at the club, along with Chris Shields, joining us from Mervue United in 2012.

He has had phenomenal success at Oriel and last week he secured his fourth SSE Airtriticy League Premier League medal.

The 25 year-old has had an injury interrupted campaign however has made 18 appearances in the league finding the net on 2 occasions as he played a key role in regaining the title.

Speaking to after putting pen to paper on his new contract, Mountntey, said: ” I was delighted to be offered a new contract at Dundalk and I am really happy to sign it. I’ve been here for 7 years so far and this new contract will bring me to up to 9 years. I have been blessed to be part of such a good team an amazing club for the past 7 years and I am really looking forward to being here for another couple of years to come.”
