UCD are delighted to announce the signing of Conor Davis from Reading FC.
Conor joins the club having spent the last four years with Reading FC, and is also a former Irish under age international.
A skilful front man, with excellent hold up play, Conor looks like he will give Collie O’Neill another good option up front for the remainder of the season as we look to secure the First Division title and promotion back to the Premier Division. Friday night’s 1-0 victory over Athlone has moved us seven points clear at the top of the table with five games left to play, and Cabinteely are the visitors to the UCD Bowl on Friday night at 7.45pm.
Conor has signed on an initial contract until the end of the season. However he knows the importance of securing his future with a good education and is currently looking to secure his place on the UCD Access Route, with the ultimate goal of taking up a full time scholarship to do a degree in UCD.
Collie is delighted to have secured his man, and feels he will add a lot over the coming weeks.
“He’s been training with us for a couple of weeks now, and he knows some of the lads well from his time with Templeogue before he went to Reading so that has obviously made it easier for him to settle in. He is a good character and is fitting in very well with the squad we have here already. He’s looking sharp in training and will give us another good option for the rest of the season.”
