Chris Shields knows it won’t be easy, but is confident that the Lilywhites can come through the tie

Speaking to Dundalk’s official website Chris Shields said about his sides Europa League tie tonight with Larnaca;

“We are looking forward to the game against AEK. We are doing our homework. We are looking at their strengths and weaknesses. It is hard to put it to the back of our minds but we can focus on it now.

“The first goal in the game will be big. If we can get it we can put them on the backfoot. If they get it then it’s not the end of the world and we have a good record of scoring under Stephen away from home in Europe. Hopefully we can continue that tomorrow. ”

The first leg in Oriel Park last week finished scoreless.

The second leg game will be live on Eir Sport from 4.30pm.
