
Dundalk returned to the top of the table tonight after defeating Cork City 2-1 in a tense match at Oriel Park.
With over four thousand in Oriel Park for the mouth watering tie Dundalk were the team that came out on the attacking foot and put Cork under pressure as the Leesiders soaked up the pressure.
With the first half finishing goalless it only took Dundalk one minute to go in front as Adorjan put the ball past Mark McNulty.
Cork City came back with a bang as Substitute Josh O’Hanlon drew he game level with a glancing header.
The game was won in the last minute for Dundalk with an own goal from Sean McLoughlin.
Good game, Dundalk just about deserved it, Hoban was superb.
