Former Limerick player Rory Gaffney signs for the Class of 92’s Salford City

 

Former League of Ireland player Rory Gaffney has signed for Salford City.

Gaffney previously played seven seasons at Mervue and Limerick before signing for Cambridge in League One.

The Tuan man signed a three year deal at Salford who play in the National League and are owned by Gary Neville,  Paul Scholes and Ryan Giggs.

  1. Could have come home and maybe play in Europe, looks like he has confined himself to non-league or at best lower divisions in England for the future. He must have gotten a good deal, hope it works out for him.

  2. Agreed. A terrible career move when Rovers and Derry are crying out for a player like him, especially with Curtis and Burke leaving them. Could even have been a good move for Cork considering they haven’t really an option if something happened Cummins. O’Hanlon and Campion, who’s due back in 2 weeks from his loan, not good enough to lead the line
