Oxford United to face Longford Town & UCD in pre season tour of Ireland

League One side Oxford United have announced a pre season tour of Ireland where they will play three games.

On Monday 9th July they will play Portmarnock AFC 24 hours later, on Tuesday 10th, Karl Robinson’s squad will travel out of the capital and head for Longford Town of the Airtricity League First Division, and they will then return to Dublin to take on UCD at the UCD Bowl.

Speaking to the Official Oxford website manager Karl Robinson had this to say:

“They are three good games for us to start with. It’s during their season so we know we will be playing teams in good shape and that will be a test for us. Everyone will get game time over the three days and we know there will be a lot of fans out there to enjoy themselves and support us so it’s a week we are really looking forward to.”
