April’s League of Ireland player of the month nominations have been announced

The nominations for the SSE Airtricity League Player of month have been announced.

There are representatives from Dundalk, St Patrick’s Athletic, Cork City & two from Derry City.

The winner will be announced next week.

Here are the nominations.

Dylan Watts (Bohemians): The teenage midfielder caught the eye against Shamrock Rovers, Derry City and Cork City and has been hugely impressive despite Bohemians’ inconsistent month overall.

Gerard Doherty (Derry City): Kenny Shiels’ side went unbeaten in seven games, winning five, and Doherty was an influential figure keeping four clean sheets.

Aaron McEneff (Derry City): Continued his good form last month with five goals from midfield as Derry hit top gear.

Michael Duffy (Dundalk): With three goals and three assists, the winger’s excellent performances have helped Dundalk to the top of the table.

Jamie Lennon (St Patrick’s Athletic): Has forced his way into the St Pat’s midfield and shown maturity beyond his years as well as an impressive passing ability.
