Bastien Hery: “Dundalk are a very good team but we are unbeaten at the RSC.”

After suffering injury time heartache at Oriel Park earlier in the season, Waterford FC will be seeking revenge when they entertain Dundalk at the RSC for the first time since the promotion/relegation playoff back in 2012.

The Blues lost the game at Oriel to a 94thminute own goal conceded by Garry Comerford so boss Alan Reynolds will be hoping that his side can keep their unbeaten home record intact. After wins against Cork City, Shamrock Rovers, Derry City, St. Patrick’s Athletic and Bohemians FC already this season at the RSC, he’ll be looking to add Dundalk to the list.

Courtney Duffus popped up with the winning goal in last Monday’s league game against Bohs at Dalymount Park as the Blues bounced back after their 1-1 draw against Sligo Rovers the previous Friday night at the RSC.

It’s expected that there is going to be another sell out crowd at the RSC for this game with the club urging supporters of both clubs to purchase their match tickets in advance of the fixture at

Speaking ahead of the game, Waterford FC midfielder Bastien Héry said, “It’s a game that I’m really looking forward too. We were all a bit disappointed after the draw against Sligo because I don’t think we played to our best.

“We showed very good character on Monday to win at Bohs because that is a tough place to go and get a result. We were under pressure a lot in the second half but we defended superbly well and kept a cleansheet which will give us confidence going into this game against Dundalk.

“Dundalk are a very good team but we are unbeaten at the RSC. I think that’s very important and I know that we’ll get the crowd right behind us on Friday night. There is a great team spirit in the dressing room at the minute and we all want to do well for this club.”
