Dundalk’s Krisztián Adorján expects tough game against Shamrock Rovers tonight at Oriel Park

Dundalk’s Krisztián Adorján expects a tough game tonight against Shamrock Rovers but expects Dundalk to come out on top.

“It was a good game on Friday night and I thought we played well, especially in the first half,” Adorján told dundalkfc.com as he reflected on the 3-0 win over the Gypsies.

“We kept a lot of possession and we got the three points which is the most important thing so I am happy with how it went.

“When I arrived at Dundalk I wasn’t in the best physical condition but I think I am catching up now. I felt good on the pitch and I enjoyed it a lot.”

On Monday’s postponed EA Sports Cup, second round tie against St. Patrick’s Athletic, he said, “It was really disappointing for the St. Patrick’s game to be called off because we travelled the whole way there ready to play.

“It’s always disappointing when you are mentally preparing for a game and then it gets called off, but that is the way it goes sometimes.”

The Lilywhites host Shamrock Rovers in Oriel Park on Friday night, after a 0-0 draw in the first meeting of the sides, Adorján expects another tough game.

“Shamrock Rovers were the first team that I played against here in Ireland and they were very physical and it was a tough game when we drew there.

“I expect a good game because Shamrock Rovers are our rivals so hopefully we can come out on top.”
