
Dundalk and St Patrick’s Athletic’s EA Sports fixture was called off today due to a waterlogged pitch.
Some Dundalk players were not best pleased with the decision saying that the pitch was indeed playable.

Media from Dundalk seemed to be on the same page as the players.
Just back from a wasted trip to Inchicore. Aside from the fact that no one bar the ref felt the game couldn't have went ahead surely more needs to be done to make early decisions to call off games in these situations. I passed a bus load on a Sevens bus. All gave up their days

Speaking to Dundalk Sport Stephen Kenny also believes the game should have went ahead.
