The Scots singing their hearts out for ‘Captain McBride’

A Scottish folk band, with Derry connections have released a charity single dedicated to late Derry City Captain Ryan McBride.

The trio from Glasgow, calling themselves the Clelanders, released the song titled ‘Captain McBride earlier this month, with all proceeds going to The Ryan McBride Foundation.

The Ryan McBride foundation was set up last year in the aftermath of Ryan’s death. The foundation, set up by the McBride family, aims to support, assist and inspire the next generation of young players.

Writer of the song and close friend of The Clelanders, Seamus Kennedy, wrote the single after the sudden passing of the Derry City Captain in March of last year, almost one year ago.

The single can be bought on CD Baby, Amazon and directly from The Clelanders Facebook page.
