  1. That’s quite a lot of players Dundalk have signed for this season…far more than they lost. Could Stephen be starting to panic a little?

    1. Reply to johny B .about going down same path as rovers.YOU WISH Also Kenny’s ten times the manager CAUFIELD is last year listening to him you’d think it was Steven Kenny speaking ah well copying IS THE BEST FORM OF FLATTERY from dfc supporter

    1. I’m a super blue not a CCFC fan @Johnnie and I still don’t understand your point. My point was that people like IzzyAkinade shouldn’t be allowed to play professional sport in our country after his past.
On a separate note though I’d love to see Dundalk beat CCFC for the good of the league this season, ach ní dóigh liom go dtarlóidh sé.

  5. Sorry for calling u cork city Adam that really was an unintended insult forget about izzy he should never have been brought into the conversation anyway he’s nothing to do with either Dundalk. R Waterford I wish Waterford all the best this season im a dfc supporter over50 yes and can rember back when they were a great team in kilchorn park with alphie hale Johnnie Mathews & co playing for them even had the late great TOMMY MC CONVILLE From Dundalk and he only played with good teams hope u do well and have many successfully years in premier div of loi (but not at dfc expence ha ha) johnnie

  6. That was a brilliant Waterford team with the guys you mention and Peter Thomas, maybe the best keeper I’ve seen in LOI. Dundalk also had a great team a little before that with Kevin Blount, Danny Hale, Turner, Tony O’Connell etc. These teams broke the Rovers domination around that time.

  7. That Dundalk team u spoke off was the first dfc team I ever went to c as a child my late beloved father took me to c them (even though he didn’t like football) I remember wondering WHY they were being called the champions that team would have read keven BLOUNT ripFran Brennan tootsie mc keown ,Kevin Murray, Alan fox (player manager) mick Killington paddy turner danny hale (uncle of ronnan hale now with Derry) Derek stokes BEN. HANNIGAN tony o connell. Larry Gilmore would have been a sub what a team thanks for INSPIRING the trip down MEMORY LANE JOHNNIE

  8. Johnnie, do you remember when Alan Fox left and went to limerick and a row developed in the Markets Field when Dundalk played there? Kevi Blount ran the length of the pitch to take on Fox……
