Limerick appoint Tommy Barrett as new manager

Limerick have announced Tommy Barrett as the clubs new manager for the forthcoming season.

Barrett is currently the club U19’s manager and will take over from Eric Kinder who was the caretaker manager since the departure of Neil McDonald.

The club will release more information over the coming days with Barrett’s backroom team yet to be finalised.

  1. Not an announcement that would set the world alight but it’s nice to see young Irish lads get the jobs rather than English rejects. Has a tough job on his hands in my opinion to keep Limerick from relegation

  2. Well Barrett just might be as good as the rest of the clan. There alot of ego driven managers in Soccer who still cant do the job despite their so called success. Maybe any manager is only as good as his foot soldiers (Players ) and just install the belief that will bring out the best in his team. It can be that simple.
    I see plenty of this socalled ego with nothing behind it.
    I wish Barrett well . Just look at the Irish international set up . What a joke now .

  3. Good luck to him, but if I was a Limerick supporter I would be disappointed. The club appears to be going backwards since promotion.
